Congratulations Brendan Gibbons, Class of 2009!
If you weren't watching the Sugar Bow then you haven't heard about our own alum, Brendan Gibbons! Gibbons' 37 yard field goal lifted the #13 Michigan Wolverines to a 23-20 win over Virginia Tech at the Superdome! This win capped Michigan's 11-win season!
Congratulations to Kyle Cunningham!
Kyle was named a USSSA All American for Baseball. He was recognized for his outstanding performance at the 2011 USSSA All-American Games in Kissimmee, Florida where he competed against High School players from all over the United States. Way to GO Kyle!
50 Years of Tradition - Crusader Football - A Commemorative History
Book reception with the authors - Thursday, Dec 8th 5 – 7 pm. First books are available for pick up on December 8. You are invited to pick up your book (if desired) on December 8th at a small book signing cocktail reception at the Sister Anne Richard Alumni Center at Newman between the hours of 5pm – 7pm.
The proceeds raised by this endeavor will be dedicated to build a Football Awards Gallery to preserve the tradition, pride, and the legacy of the Cardinal Newman football program. The center piece will be a gallery located in the East Lobby of the gym, to properly display all past and future football awards, mementos, pictures, and achievements in a proper and dignified setting befitting a program that has produced tremendous leaders over the past five decades and will continue to in the future. It will serve as a center piece for all to enjoy when they return to Newman. Please be as generous in your support as possible. Any funds left after the build out will be dedicated to the football program itself.
WE NEED A “BIG PLAY” FROM ALL CRUSADERS! LET’S MAKE THIS A CHAMPIONSHIP EFFORT!
