Shan Mehta has been honored for his exemplary volunteer service with a President's Volunteer Service Award. 

This award, which recognizes Americans of all ages who have volunteered significant amounts of their time to serve their communities and their country, was presented by Prudential Spirit of Community Awards program on behalf of President Barack Obama.  Shan participated in the Spirit of Community program this year as a representative of Cardinal Newman High School.

2/21 Newman won against Forest Hill at Forest Hill 16-0. We mercied them in the 3rd inning. Senior Peyton Finlayson had 5 RBIs and all the girls played great overall.

2/23 Newman won against Glades Central at Home 7-2. Freshman Kasey Rivera had 2 RBIs, and Freshmen Kelsey Grant and Angelica Ojeda both scored 2 runs each.

2/24 Newman lost against Berean Christian at Home 9-4.
