Campus Renovation Project
Dear Friends of Cardinal Newman High School,

This past year has been extremely busy around Cardinal Newman. Last fall, we moved into our newly renovated cafeteria. The students just love the new ambiance created by the new color scheme and lighting. We also added a beautiful entrance lobby connecting our gymnasium and cafeteria complete with a display/trophy case. This renovation would not have been possible without the many donors and efforts of Alumnus Gerry Arsenault ’74 and a parent of alumni Rob Reveley. Cardinal Newman thanks you for your commitment and service.

Over the past ten years, Cardinal Newman High School has undergone many renovations, all generously funded by our community of parents, alumni and friends. In 2003, softball, track and lacrosse fields were created. In 2006, a new track and stadium enhancements were completed. In 2007, a classroom in the North Hall was renovated as the new “prototype” classroom. The new driveway, turnaround, and landscaping were completed in 2007. The John P. Raich Athletic Building was renovated in 2009. And, as mentioned, the cafeteria project including the lobby and trophy case were completed during the 2010 2011 school year.

More renovations are in order and currently we are planning for building activities that will take CNHS to a new level of excellence. More specifically, our next targeted improvement will be to provide an elevator and connecting bridge to allow for our students and faculty that incur disabilities to continue their educational experience without interruption. We are calling this project our “Bridge to the Future”. This bridge and elevator will eliminate the need to move classes to a lower floor when an injury or temporary disability occurs. It will also make a Catholic education accessible to students with permanent disabilities.

More than renovation, we think of the process as restoration and renewal of the high school’s vision for Catholic educational excellence. If you would like to discuss opportunities to help in the renovation process, please contact Steve Walsh at 561-683-6266 x1049 for more information. We are most appreciative of your support with these projects.

Yours in Christ,
